 Post-planning considerations 
A  lesson  plan  may  not  work  as  well  as  expected  due  to  a  number  of  extraneous 
circumstances. Teachers should not get discouraged – it happens to even the most 
experienced  ones!  No  one  can  move  forward  without  some  reflection  and 
improvement  and  a  desire  to  evolve.  So  the  last  step  a  teacher  needs  to  do  is  to 
have  a  short  post-lesson  reflection  time  by  asking  himself/herself  questions  such 
as: 
What went well in the lesson? 
What problems did I experience? 
 Are there things I could have done differently? 
How can I build on this lesson to make future lessons successful? 
  Identifying successful and less successful organization of class time and activities       
would make it easier to adjust to the contingencies of the classroom. For additional

teaching and consultation with a staff member.
