Artificial  methods  are  used  in  production  of  oil  from 

depleted  reservoir  that  lift  oil  from  bottom  hole  to  surface. 

There  are  various  artificial  lift  methods.  The  most  common 

methods  of  them  are  electric  submersible  pump,  sucker  rod 

pump  and  gas-lift.  They  are  used  for  lowering  bottom  hole 

pressure and then providing lift effect for raise oil to surface. 

Bottom pressure reduction by using injection of gas will 

increase  oil  production.    Injection  of  gas  will  relieve  fluid 

column. At the result flowing of oil along tubing will increase. 

Excessive  amount  of  gas  injection  will  cause  increasing  of 

bottom  pressure  which  decreases  oil  production.  Injection  of 

excessive  amount  of  gas  causes  slippage  where  gas  phase 

leaving  the  fluid  behind  at  the  result  of  flowing  of  gas  phase 

faster  than  liquid  phase.  Therefore,  we  must  optimize  gas

injection  rate  for  maximum  oil  production  that  is  a  main 

problem of

 

gas-lift system

. Small amount of gas causes low 

production of oil, after a while it will damage the well. 

Identification  is  a  main  problem  for  effective  working 

of  gas-lift wells.    For  Identification first  of all we must create 

points  on  the  graph  on  the  base  of  experimental  values  of 

production  oil  (Q

shown in Figure 1(a). According to these points we must define 

mathematical  model  that  must  be  good  representative  of

There

identification of gas lift wells. For research we can use data of 

well that is shown in Table 1.
