. Depending on the fulfillment of the appropriate conditions, the conclusion is made: the 
damage is developing "very quickly", "significantly quickly", "quickly", "insignificantly quickly", "slowly", "very 
slowly" [3, 4]. 
Conclusion 
High-order moments of the noise can be used to monitor the technical condition of potentially hazardous sections 
of railroad tracks. As a result, it is possible to determine the presence and degree of incipient damage at an early stage, as 
well as to identify the intensity of damage development in the latent period. This is achieved by finding the proximity 
measure of the values of the estimates of the higher-order moments obtained at different time instants
