History of Ka’bah

The Ka’aba [Arabic;الكعبة -al-Ka’abah]is a cube-shaped building located inside the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca,Saudi Arabia.The musque was originally built around the Ka’aba. The Ka’aba is the valuable place in the Islamic world.

• The Ka’aba was built first by angels,then Adam alayhissalam, then by his son Shis allayhissalam and then by Ibrahim a.s.

Attempts to demolish the Ka’bah

• Abraha, who tried to break the Kaaba, is a famous incident that took place in Mecca. The Arabs made this event the beginning of history. This event is also mentioned in Surat al-Fil in the Qur'an. It is said that Abraha, the Abyssinian king who ruled Yemen, attacked Mecca and tried to destroy the Kaaba. He brings a giant elephant. Allahu ta'âlâ sent the birds with stone bites in their beaks, destroyed the enemies and saved the Ka'bah.

Ka’bah before Islam

• The Ka'bah was a pre-Islamic shrine of the Arab tribes, with 360 idols of tribal deities. The Muslims, led by Muhammad s.a.w., made a small pilgrimage to Mecca in 629, conquered Mecca in 630, and destroyed the idols around the Ka'bah, including the idol called Khubal.

Ka’bah today

Kaaba had two doors, one for entering and the other one for exiting. It also had a window on the side of it.
There is only one door, while the other one is black, which could be seen during storms.
