INCRETION AND SECRETION OF PANCREATIC ENZYMES
AT LEAD INTOXICATION

The incidence of acute pancreatitis in the Uzbekistan republic is about 70-100 people per 
million population per year.

 Men and women are affected at a similar rate. The acute pancreatitis is 
more common in population of industrial regions, polluted by different heavy metals. The typical acute 
pancreatitis markers is increasing of pancreas enzymes in blood

We hypothesized that one of the causes of impaired pancreatic function can be environmental 
pollution by heavy metals. 
The aim of this work is to determine pancreatic enzyme activity in some biological samples in 
rats with lead acetate intoxication 
Methods: White rats were used in experiments. The intoxication was caused by administration 
of lead acetate (80 mg per day) during 3 days each hour. The enzyme activity was determined in 
pancreas, blood and chime by common methods (Уголев, 1969).Enzymatic activity in blood, pancreas 
and chime of rats were studied in 4 days after intoxication.
Results.It was found the concentration of blood α-amylase,lipases and proteases at lead 
intoxication increases in blood in 3,2; 4,1 and 2,4 times respectively in compare with control animals. 
The concentration ofα-amylase,lipases and proteases in pancreas tissue was also increasedin 2,2; 1,5 
and 1,3 times respectively in compare with control groups. But in the intestinal chyme, in contrast the 
concentration of enzymes conducting hydrolysis of protein, lipids and carbohydrates was decreased. 
The decreasing of α-amylase, lipases and proteases was in 1,4; 1,2 and 1,3 times respectively in 
compare with control groups. 
Conclusions 
Hence, itis shown the concentration of pancreatic enzymes is increased in blood and pancreatic 
issues, but is decreased in intestine 2,2; 1,5 and 1,3 times respectively in compare with control groups. 
It is visible the secretion of pancreatic enzymes isincreasing and excretion is decreasing at heavy metal 
intoxication. The same dynamic of pancreatic enzyme secretion and excretion was shownat different 
kinds of pancreatitis. So, one of the reason ofspread of pancreatitis in the industrial regions can be 
increasing of heavy metal concentration in the environment. Since theobtained results indicate an 
increase in the increment of enzymes in the blood. This assumption is confirmed by a decrease in 
enzymes in intestinal chyme. 
Hence, it is advisable to add various food sorbents to prevent pancreatitis and other degasses in 
regions contaminated with various heavy metals.
