HARBORCREEK TOWNSHIP WATER AUTHORITY
A meeting of the Harborcreek Township Water Authority assembled on Monday June 27, 2005 at the Harborcreek Township Municipal Building, 5601 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA 16421. James Perrotto opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Present were David Maille, Harry Mooradian, Dr. Robert Mulvin, James Perrotto, and George Stanley. Evelyn Balmer and Frank Gerlach came in before the supervisor’s report. There was no public comment.
Motion by Mr. Mooradian to approve the minutes of the Water Authority meeting of April 25, 2005, second by Mr. Stanley. Vote: 5/0.
Motion by Mr. Mooradian to approve the minutes of the Water Authority meeting of May 23, 2005, second by Mr. Maille. Vote: 5/0.

SUPERVISOR’S REPORT

Ken Springirth summarized the May 19, 2005 telephone call with Matthew Gilara, GISP Geographic Information Systems Specialist of the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission regarding financial help for privately funded water main extension projects. Mr. Gilara noted that no formal application is needed, but a one page summary is required that will show how many households will be served, what they are proposing, what self help the residents are planning, and that this project will improve the quality of life. While there are no guarantees of assistance, the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission has a limited amount of funding available. Mr. Gilara does know about the proposed Dutton Road privately funded water main project.

COMMITTEE REPORTS/OTHER BUSINESS

A list of the benefits of having public water service was put together and will be reviewed at the July 25, 2005 meeting.

Mr. Maille provided an update on the Dutton Road privately funded proposed water main extension.
Motion by Mrs. Balmer to adjourn the meeting, Mr. Perrotto adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
