There are three study degrees that German HEIs provides:

Bachelor Degree
(BA, BSc, BSEng) - First academic degree. 
6-8 semester programme, 3 to 4 years, awarding 180 up to 240 ECTS Credits.

Master Degree
(MA, MSc, MEng)

Second academic degree. 
2-4 semester programme, 1 to 2 years, awarding 60 up to 120 ECTS Credits.
