One Minute Entry
I often take my

rst quarter size position based on the

rst one minute candle to make a new high, 
if there is a series of at least 10 consecutive one minute candles. I always try to enter a reversal 
trade with the 
À
rst position based on the one minute chart, and then if I am pro
À
table, and when 
we get 
À
ve minute con
À
rmation, I will double my position to full size. Looking at the one minute 
chart, if I see the stock touching a level of daily resistance, I may decide to take my 
À
rst position 
before the 
À
ve minute con
À
rmation. Since we know stocks run into support and resistance around 
whole dollars and half dollars, I will sometimes look to buy a weak stock if I see it break below a 
whole dollar, such as $50.00. I will then buy it if it comes back up through that whole dollar. If it 
can reclaim the support of the whole dollar, that is often a safe entry with a stop at $49.90. In the 
case of a strong stock surging up, if the stock breaks through a price such as $50.00, I will short 
it as it breaks back down below the whole dollar, with a stop at $50.10. These one minute entries 
can give me a great average very close to the high of day or low of day, but I will be ready to bail 
out if the reversal does not hold. Since it is riskier to trade reversals on the one minute chart, I 
use smaller size until we have a

rmation. Beginner traders may be wise to avoid 
trading reversals on the one minute chart, and instead use the

ve minute.
