The diagram illustrates the steps for manufacturing cloth and clothes from 
cotton. It takes several steps to go from cotton in the neld to clothes you can 
buy and wear. 
To begin, the cotton is harvested by machine. Then, it goes through a gin, where 
the seeds are removed and the cotton is packed into bales. Next, the bales go 
through a blower, which blows and loosens the cotton. Then, the cotton goes 
through a carding machine. The cotton has to be straightened by this machine

before the yarn can be made. After going through the carding machine, a spinning
machine makes the cotton into yarn. Then, the yarn is woven into cloth on a loom.
The next step is to dye the woven cloth in a dye vat. Then, the cloth is ready to be
made into clothes. All kinds of clothes such as dresses, shirts, and pants can be
made from cotton.

The diagram shows the growth of a dragonfly from the beginning to the end of its 
life cycle. It goes through several stages from an egg in the water to a mature 
dragonfly in the air. 
The life cycle of the dragonfly begins in the summer. First, the eggs are laid under 
the water. After one week, the eggs hatch and nymphs come out. Throughout 
the fall and winter, the dragonfly nymph lives under the water. It eats and grows 
during this time. In the spring, the nymph leaves the water by crawling up a plant. 
Then, it molts. Now it is an adult dragonfly. During the summer, the dragonfly 
flies in the air. It hunts and eats flying insects. It lives like this for a few weeks or 
months, and then its life is over. The dragonfly's life cycle takes about one year 
to complete.
