soft vowel letter. It gives 4 types of phonemes.

)  type of syllable is close syllable. It gives the sound [i]. For example:  

     six [siks] – olti (6) 

     pit [pit] – o’ra, chuqur

       The  letter  “Jj”  *dzei+  is  the  tenth  (10

)  letter  in  English  Alphabet.  The  letter  “Jj” 

*dzei+ is a consonant letter. The letter “Jj” *dzei+ is a voiced consonant letter. It gives the 

sound [dz]. For example:  

     Jam *dzæm+ – murabbo  

     July [dzulai] – Iyul  

     June [dzu:n] – Iyun  

     Job [jכb] – ish
