Type A individuals are extremely competitive, are very devoted to work, and
have a strong sense of time urgency. They are likely to be aggressive, impatient, and
very work oriented. They have a lot of drive and want to accomplish as much as possi-
ble as quickly as possible. Type B individuals are less competitive, are less devoted to
work, and have a weaker sense of time urgency. Such individuals are less likely to expe-
rience conflict with other people and more likely to have a balanced, relaxed approach
to life. They are able to work at a constant pace without time urgency. Type B people
are not necessarily more or less successful than Type A people, but they are less likely
to experience stress.
