1 Shopping centres have closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to help them
identify criminals, for example shoplifters, vandals, pickpockets, etc., and
reduce crime, but they cannot identify criminals wearing hoods. Some other
customers may also feel intimidated by the presence of groups of young people
with their faces hidden.
