2  The editor is responsible for a programme or series as a whole. S/he takes care 
of organising a series of ‘recces’ (reconnoitres − that is, obtaining information 
about the shooting location).
 
S/he also keeps a close eye on programme 
budgets to make sure that there is no overspending.
 
The production manager makes sure the equipment is working, looks into the 
availability of health services for the crew and other facilities (for example, a 
changing room, etc.).
