e-governance level, digitalisation opens up opportunities for tourism organisations and public agencies
to seize the opportunity of big data, to collect and analyse data in real time, with the aim of improving the
efficient and effective use of resources. The development and sharing of resources at a strategic level requires
a high level of digitalisation at the operational level within SMEs; it requires a highly connected, networked
sector; and it requires shared vision, trust and willingness to work together. Cloud technologies, digital
platforms, and on-demand connectivity can facilitate both self-governance and public-private governance.
