The Procedure of the lesson:
I. Organizing moment: - Greeting.
Objectives: to develop critical thinking; to raise awareness of a famous ancient Greek myth; to develop reading skills
STEP 1: Ask the pupils to read the legend entitled “Icarus and Daedalus” one more time. STEP 2: As in previous home reading lessons, prepare beforehand and ask the pupils several questions for understanding such as:
Who were Daedalus and Icarus?
What did King Minos want?
Who was Minotaur?
Who killed Minotaur?
What happened with Icarus? etc.
STEP 3: Then you may have a class discussion about the legend.
Homework
Ask the pupils to get prepared for Progress Check 7.
