The aim of the lesson
: 
Educational: 
- to learn about the origin of palov; - to learn about Avicenna and Alexander the Great.

- to enable pupils to make predictions; - to enable pupils to work with the Wordlist; - to give pupils less-
controlled practice in talking about food; - to practise listening to check predictions and reading for detailed information.
