Change sensor readings can be determined by the formula
where
- the distance from the wall of the fuel tank to the axis of installation of
the sensor;
is the length of the tank;
- tank tilt angle in longitudinal axis.
Consider the tank of a KAMAZ-53215 truck l = 1250 mm, total volume 500 l
(Figure 23). By the formula (1) we calculate the value by which it will change
fuel level when the sensor is shifted from the center of mass of the tank to the
side
walls at a distance
l = l1 - l / 2, and also with a change in the angle of its
inclination
relative to the horizon in the range from –15 to 15 °.
