PICK A FENCE
RULES & SCORING
THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL
Competitors should complete as many numbered jumps as possible with the object of obtaining the highest number of marks.
Each jump is divided into 3 sections: White Scores 15
Yellow Scores 10
Green Scores 5
Classes 1, 3 & 5 are not allowed to jump the White option - jumping a White option will result in elimination.
For all classes a maximum of 3 attempts may be made at each numbered jump, but not at the same colour, (except Green) - see below.
A competitor chooses which sections of the jump they wish to attempt first.
The Jumping options are as follows:
1st attempt at White:
If White is cleared, go to the next numbered jump.
If White is refused, Yellow or Green may be attempted.
If Yellow is refused, Green may be tried.
If Green is chosen after White and refused, a second attempt at Green may be made.
1st attempt at Yellow:
If Yellow is cleared, go to the next numbered jump.
If Yellow is refused, only two attempts may be made at Green.
1st attempt at Green:
If Green is cleared, go to the next numbered jump.
If Green is refused, two more attempts may be made at Green.
Only three attempts can be made at any numbered jump.
A Competitor attempting either White or Yellow for a second time will be eliminated.
No numbered jump is compulsory – a competitor who does not wish to attempt a numbered jump and proceeds to the next jump will not be eliminated, but will gain no marks for that numbered jump.
A competitor who knocks down an unfixed obstacle, breaks an obstacle or falls must proceed to the next obstacle, gaining no marks.
There will be an optimum time for each class – these times will be displayed at the secretary’s caravan. In the event of equal points, the rider closest to the optimum time will be adjudged the winner.
Competitors must leave the red flags on the right and white flags on the left. Numbers must be clearly displayed and not hidden by long hair.
