So’roq shaklida to be ko’makchi fe’li egadan avval keladi. Bo’lishsiz gapda esa to be ko’makchi fe’ldan keyin not yuklamasi ishlatiladi. Masalan:

Am I being informed? Menga xabar berishayaptimi?
I am not being informed. Menga xabar berishmayapti.
Was he being informed? Unga xabar berishayotgan edimi?
He was not being informed. Unga xabar berishmayotgan edi.

III. Gaplarni o’qing, zamon shakllarini
ayting va ularni taqqoslang:

1. The problem was discussed at the comference.

Masala konferensiyada mohokama qilindi.
2. The problem was being discussed when you came.
Siz kelganingizda masala muhokama qilinayotgan edi.
3. Now he is translating the article.
Hozir u maqolani tarjima qilyapti.
4. Now the article is being translated (by him).
Hozir maqola tarjima qilinyapti (u tomonidan).
5. Students are given various tests.
Talabalarga har xil testlar beriladi.
6. They are given a test now.
Ularga hozir test berilyapti.
