Read verses 1-4. What can you do to "train your eyes" to see God at work in your life?

The mission of Coastal Christian: Coastal exists to enable others to envision the world from God's perspective and to serve Christ and our community as Biblically educated, spiritually equipped and practically empowered followers of Christ. If Coastal is your home, what part do you play in fulfilling this Mission? What particular phrase affects you the most?

"It's possible to see God's power even in a person's pain." Do you wrestle with that fact? Why or why not?

Some people have the gift of mercy/compassion. But, aren't all Christians called to help hurting people? Discuss. Are there Scriptures to substantiate your convictions?

As we look at these first four verses, where, specifically, do you need Jesus to "broaden your understanding" in regards to prejudiced thoughts towards other people?

This week, where could you do a lot less judging and a lot more helping?

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. 2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. 4 We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us.[a] The night is coming, and then no one can work.
