Directions to beloit college from chicago

DIRECTIONS TO BELOIT COLLEGE
FROM CHICAGO:
1) Take Interstate 90 (the Northwest Tollway) past Rockford and continue towards Madison, WI.

2) Just north of the Illinois –Wisconsin border, get off at exit #1 South Beloit at routes 75 & 51 and at the top of the ramp turn left (west) onto Gardner Street (= Hwy 51 = Rte 75).

3) Go west about 1.5 miles to Park Avenue, the first stoplight past the Ramada Inn.

4) Turn right (north) onto Park Avenue. Go north on Park Avenue about 10 blocks to Woodward Avenue, two blocks beyond where Park becomes a divided street (boulevard).

5) Turn left (west) onto Woodward Avenue. Go one block west on Woodward to Church Street. Continue west on Woodward half a block past Church to the first driveway on the left (which will be marked with a sign).

6) Turn left into the driveway. This leads into a parking area. Maurer Link, the connecting space between Maurer and Aldrich Halls, where check-in will be held, is on your left. Cars may be left in this parking lot throughout the weekend.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FROM CHICAGO TO AVOID CONSTRUCTION BACKUPS ON I-90

1) Take Interstate 90 (the Northwest Tollway) to Rockford

2) Exit at Riverside Drive in Rockford, go west and take

Riverside to Alpine, go right

Alpine to Rt. 173, go left

Rt. 173 to Rt. 251, go right

Rt. 251 to Gardner Street in South Beloit (Ramada Inn corner), go left

Gardner to Park as in original directions #3)

FROM MILWAUKEE:

(N.B these are new directions to avoid construction scheduled to begin June 2 on Milwaukee Road going into Beloit. You can also continue south on I-90 to the state line exit and follow directions in the set from Chicago above, but there may be construction along I-90).

1) Take I-43 southwest, past the intersection with I-90, continuing into Beloit on Rte 81 (a continuation of I-43) = Milwaukee Road

2) Turn right on Cranston Road (the stoplight after passing Burger King on the right)

3) Turn left on Park Avenue (the first stoplight after crossing Prairie Avenue)

4) Turn right on Woodward (the first stoplight after crossing White Avenue)

5) Go 1½ blocks past Church St. and turn left into the college's parking lot – see #6) above.
FROM MADISON:

1) Drive south on I-90 past Janesville. Take Exit 185A "Beloit College" Hwy 43 (= Milwaukee Road) .
