2.3. METHODICAL INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO USE DIGITAL 
TECHNOLOGIES FOR DEVELOPING LEXICAL COMPETENCE OF B1 
LEARNERS 
In response to society's demand, each teacher asks himself a question: How can 
pupils be organized to acquire the necessary subject knowledge and skills, while at the 
same time stimulating the formation and development of independence? This does not 
mean that one has to look for something new globally by celebrating the old...

Principles of Personally Focused Education. All of us, analyzing the demands of the

society, come to the conclusion that it is necessary to combine the following ideas in our 
educational activities: 
- active approach to learning, learning through practice, productive work of students 
in small groups; 
- the development of student autonomy and personal responsibility for decision 
making; 
- cooperation between the educator and students based on mutual respect and trust; 
- formative assessment, helping to develop learners' capacity for self-esteem
- that stimulates their educational activity; 
- a teaching based on success, on experiencing the joy of knowing the world, on... 
genuine interest, i.e., teachings without coercion. 
All these principles seamlessly combine the technology of mixed learning. 
Mixed learning technology is a unified, holistic learning process, 
which involves a combination of cognitive activities of students in a mode 
independent, in a dialogue with a comrade, in a dialogue with a teacher. In this case, 
the following principles are implemented: 
- teaching is personalised. All children are different, and each has its own 
educational needs. Learning comes from the needs of each student, not the class as a 
whole; 
- blended learning is based on mastery. This means that a learner can only move on 
to the next topic if he or she has mastered the previous one, i.e. only when he or she feels 
like a master. And the teacher keeps a close eye on the results. 
Using ICT, it is much easier to do this; 
- the third principle is high student expectations. Students have clearly defined 
standards. They set their own route to the goal and plan it in time and place. But all this is 
done under the teacher's careful eye, but the student must understand how he or she will 
work 
studies. They understand that all they have achieved is the result of their work, the 
result of the decisions they have made.

Requirements for an electronic educational resource: 
- content redundancy and variability; 
- interactivity; 
- multimedia; 
- diversity in the presentation of learning information; 
- diversity of control and measurement materials, including those with automatic 
verification; 
- intuitive interface; 
- availability of additional tools and services. 
We are sure that educational digital technologies will occupy a worthy place in your 
pedagogical systems as well, because according to W. Hugo "nothing in the world is more 
powerful than an idea whose time has come". (Table 3)
