THEMATIC AND IDEOGRAPHIC GROUPS. A further subdivision within the lexico-grammatical groups is achieved in the well-known thematic subgroups, such as terms of kinship, names for parts of the human body, colour terms, military terms and so on. The basis of grouping this time is not only linguistic but also extralinguistic: the words are associated, because the things they name occur together and are closely connected in reality. It has been found that these words constitute quite definitely articulated spheres held together by differences, oppositions and distinctive values. For an example it is convenient to turn to the adjectives. These are known to be subdivided into qualitative and relative lexico-grammatical groups. Among the first, adjectives that characterise a substance for shape, colour, physical or mental qualities, speed, size, etc. are distinguished.

What is Neologisms?

A neologism is a newly coined word or term that has emerged into everyday usage.

The word "neologism" comes from the Greek words "neo" (new) and "logos" (word, speech).

It is a very interesting fact, isn’t it?
And it is true that we can create words ourselves because there is or there ought to be a word for everything. Of course there should be a golden mean and it’s not such a good idea to create new words instead of those already existing. If you do, you are likely to look and sound weird and simply misunderstood. However, the language lives its own life and people seem to be the driving force in it.
