Abdullakhan madrasah

Madrasah, located on the southern side of the madrasah Qutlugh Murad Inak built in 1855 by the mother of the Khan of Khiva, in memory of her son Abdulla Khan, after his tragic death. Unless taken into account the portal of the building the madrasah lacks decorations, its structure is very simplified. To the north at the entrance one unit of mionsaraya (middle lobby), and to the south two chains are located. On the south side there is a domed premises of the mosque slightly displaced from the transverse axis of the lobby. In the northeast corner of the madrasah three hujras are built. Rectangular courtyard of madrasah is surrounded by hujras covered by the traditional method of "Balkhi" middle of the courtyard the well is preserved.

In Kamiljan Khudaybergenov's brochure "The Genealogy of Khiva khans" ("Khiva khonlari shajarasi" in the lines devoted to Abdullakhan the following is reported: "Abdullakhan was the person who trusted to words of any person. By slander of Mir Ahmed (Khan's military commander) he shed innocent blood of several people. He was very reckless and impatient person. But he very much appreciated the friendship, loved justice, was a brave and courageous man. He didn`t leave a sonafter him and had only one daughter who was married to Abdulaziz Tura (the Prince). After Abdulla khan's death his mother, in order to save his son's name built a madrasah".
Now in premises of madrasah the exposition of the museum of the nature of Khorezm is placed aiming to acquaint the tourists and visitors who visit the museum with the rich nature of the Khorezm oasis, with its flora and fauna, climate, as well as measures for their protection, conservation, to convey them to subsequent generations intact. The nature of the Khorezm oasis differs by its peculiarity. In the museum you can get a lot of of useful information about the mountains of Sultan Wais, a delta of the Amu-Darya River, about the wildlife and the Kara Qum Kyzyl Qum Deserts and also useful species of plants.
