Dear Friends and Patrons:
It's with great sadness AND pleasure to announce our retirement. The emotions are mixed, after 3 ½ years of serving the Crest Hill and surrounding communities we will be CLOSING our store to pursue a lifelong dream and travel and leisure. Many of you know us from your weekly, sometimes daily visits to our consignment store and you watched as our business grew from a few to over 600 consignors in a very short time. The 70,000 visitors to our website is remarkable and as the word spread we soon enjoyed visits from people who came from near and sometimes very far to visit our family owned business. We want to Thank all those responsible, family, friends and the community who helped us create a successful business. There is nothing like the experience of starting from zero and creating a small business that so many people complimented us on and patronized. We have seen many small businesses open and close during our time in Crest Hill and that is why we encourage all of you to support small businesses whenever you have the opportunity. Small businesses create more jobs in this country than all large corporations combined, but with the proliferation of online websites that either sell directly or offer merchandise for sale by individuals, it is tough to maintain a storefront business with all the overhead that comes with it. Patronizing physical store locations is becoming a thing of the past and it has become harder and harder to be “your own boss”. WE WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER MERCHANDISE THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AND OTHER WEBSITES ON A CONSIGNMENT BASIS FOR A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE. We are also now part of a group of entrepreneurs that most people cannot possibly understand unless they have put their own money, time, sometimes blood, sweat and tears into something to try and provide for your family and create something that is your own. We as a family have done just that and again we thank all of you with all of our heart!
We will close our doors for regular business on Wednesday December 30^th . It is just as hard to close down a business in an orderly fashion as it is to open one, so bear with us as we proceed. We will be holding a retirement/liquidation sale between Friday November 27^th thru Wednesday December 30^th with some holiday closing dates. Consignors need to pick up any items they do not wish to be sold at liquidation prices prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. The following is a schedule of our holiday closing dates: Close early Wednesday November 25^th (3pm). Closed Thanksgiving November 26^th , close early December 24^th (3pm) closed December 25^th & 26^th for Christmas, closed December 30^th thru January 4^th .
ATTENTION CONSIGNORS: We will reopen January 5^th thru January 9^th to conclude financial transactions (settlements) and return of merchandise. If your account is a “ESTATE ACCOUNT” or you think it is a “ESTATE ACCOUNT” please call us to schedule a appointment during our January week to finalize your account. ESTATE ACCOUNTS require much more time due to the sheer volume of items handled. A schedule by first letter of last name will follow. We ask that you stick to the schedule because as stated earlier we have over 600 consignors. All merchandise not picked up by January 9^th will be donated or otherwise disposed of. A REMINDER, per our contract all accounts that have been inactive for 1 year have been purged and no business can be conducted on those accounts. ATTENTION CONSIGNORS: We will be unable to issue any settlements (your money) between Tuesday December 16^th thru January 4^th . All settlements (your money) will be paid on your scheduled day the week of January 5^th thru January 9^th . We are sorry for this inconvenience.
The liquidation sale will include all remaining merchandise and store fixtures. Some of you have expressed an interest in some of our store fixtures in the past and now is the time to acquire them if you wish.

All remaining merchandise will be offered at 50-80% off so please try and stop by to receive this great savings.

AS STATED ABOVE WE WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER MERCHANDISE FOR SALE ON A CONSIGNMENT BASIS THROUGH OUR ONLINE STORE. PLEASE ASK FOR THE DETAILS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
