There is a special type of software that is only dedicated to working with databases, they are called database management systems (RDBMS or database management systems), also called BDR managers. Today we can have several managers, the most popular of which are:
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• Oracle.
• MySQL.
• PostgreSQL
• DB2.
• MariaDB
Disadvantages of databases
Like everything else in the system, it has its advantages and disadvantages; Know some of these shortcomings:
Complexity: If you don’t have a good understanding of what you want to get at a database, digital systems become very complex in terms of their functionality.
Additional equipment: this will depend in large part on what is needed for storage, as large-volume electronic machines have to be resorted to, which would have been more cost-effective.
Fragile to faults and shortcomings: Although this system is set up, it emits an error and cannot delete basic data, so it is recommended to back up and back up files regularly.
A database management system (DBMS) is a collection of programs that manages the database structure and controls access to the data stored in the database".
The DBMS serves as the intermediary between the user and the database. The database structure itself is stored as a collection of files, So, we can access the data in those files through the DBMS.
The DBMS receives all application requests and translates them into the complex operations required to fulfill those requests. The DBMS hides much of the database’s internal complexity from the application programs and users.
Advantages of Database Management System (DBMS)

An advantage of the database management approach is, the DBMS helps to create an environment in which end users have better access to more and better-managed data.
Such access makes it possible for end users to respond quickly to changes in their environment.
