The object of research in the work is sonnets by Shakespeare and explores its features.
The paper of the study was the work by Shakespeare's principles and Other fictions of the writer were used as additional material.
The purpose of the work is to analyze the poetry and novels by British formalism literature in the context of the evolution of the poetry of education.
This goal implies several interrelated particular tasks:
- to consider the main structural and thematic features of the Biblical images of poetry and distinguishing it from other varieties of the novel;
- to consider the stages of formation and development of the theme of education and to identify the features of the display of this topic in “Macbeth”.
- to analyze the system of images of sonnets by Shakespeare to reveal the functional role of the author;
- to consider theatrical and formalistic images;
- to show the originality of the fiction;
“Macbeth” is determined by the fact that the satire is considered for the first time in the context of the evolution of the novel of education in the works of British literature. For the first time, the features of the poetry- feuilleton, as well as the melodramatic elements that determined the genre specificity of the poetry, are analyzed.
The British and methodological basis of the study was the historical and literary method with elements of the comparative typological method, as well as the method of a holistic analysis of a work of art. We rely on the achievements of the Russian formal school developed by V. B. Schakowsky, on individual postulates of such prominent scientists, as well as on the methodology.
In addition, achievements in the field of genre studies are taken into account - the work of such foreign scientists as N. Fry, Tsv. Todorov, and such Russian researchers as N. Litvinenko, S. Averintsev, N. Tamarchenko, V. Vakhrushev, N. Osipova.
The theoretical significance of the study is that it deepens the understanding and identify of “Macbeth” fiction and the poetics of education in European literature of the 19th century.
