The love that led to the murder. We remember the tragedy of Othello
November 1 is the date when the great Othello tragedy was first staged. In this regard, the columnist of «Daryo» Rahimjon Kudratov comments on this work.
Many fans of literature have heard of the tragedy Othello, which is believed to have been written by the great playwright Shakespeare in 1603 and first staged on November 1, 1604. However, not all readers are aware that many other books on Othello and Shakespeare, such as Hamlet and Macbeth, are not original, that is, based on the content of other works. So why is it that the tragedy of Othello, based on Giraldo 7Chintio's book The Venetian Maverick, a student of Boccaccio, has not lost its value? What is the reason for the audience to watch the performance with great interest, even though they all know about the events that will take place before watching the performance? Creativity in art serves the longevity of a work. Although Shakespeare's greatest works were based on other books, Shakespeare's creativity and imagery were able to maintain their influence. The Othello tragedy, which never wears out and depicts the bitter fate of human feelings and relationships, on a variety of topics such as racism, love, jealousy, betrayal, revenge and regret, is still on the professional stage today. Is one of the main works on display and has served as a source for many operas, films and literary works.
This tragedy, unlike other Shakespearean scenes, does not speak of medieval periods and of different genders or spirits, but rather of events of the sixteenth century. That is why Othello is one of Shakespeare's closest works.
What is the essence of the tragedy?
Was the killing of Othello's wife, Desdemona, by Yago's conspiracy the result of excessive jealousy and lack of thought, a small but serious mistake? I don't think so. Desdemona's death was not just a loss of trust in one person, but a loss of trust in humanity. When Othello lost faith in the core values of his life, he saw no choice but to assassinate. At first glance, this may seem like a simple murder committed out of jealousy, but at the heart of this tragic act lies the rebellion of the protagonist, who lost control of his life and faced a loss of balance in the relationship. Othello rebelled. He rebelled against the trampling of pure love. Given that not only human relationships but also the universe as a whole are governed by rules and regulations, it is possible to understand that love has its own laws. Of course, for Othello, loyalty is the first rule. Just like Othello, one can consider one's whole life equal to these rules and values, if necessary. When such sacred rules, which determine the importance of life, are violated, man becomes helpless. After all, if your whole life is based on a certain system of values, how can you continue to live a normal life if you are confronted with them?.

“A person's good name is like a pearl of the heart. It doesn't matter if someone steals money from my wallet. This wealth used to be the property of some people and will continue to be the property of thousands of people. But whoever steals my good name from me will not make me rich, but he will make me poor. «
