Introduction
We know nowadays, due to the reforms in language teaching and learning system in Uzbekistan, foreign language proficiency becomes priority demand for the specialists of all the spheres. This issue demands a great responsibility from linguistic institution teachers in terms of professional development.
There upon, several problems arose in language teaching system, one of the most significant was the learners’ attitude to foreign languages, especially in linguistic higher education institutions. The process of globalization and international integration in both science and industry puts foreign language proficiency in priority list.
“The time has come to create in Uzbekistan a new system of teaching foreign languages, which will become a solid foundation for the future. Since we set ourselves the goal of building a competitive state, from now on, graduates of schools, lyceums, colleges and universities must be fluent in at least two foreign languages. This strict requirement should become the main criterion for the work of the head of each education institution”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, president of Uzbekistan republic once said.1
In learning a language, both mother tongue and foreign language, vocabulary plays an important role. It is one element that connects the four language skills all together. Vocabulary should be integrated into the teaching of those four skills-listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Teachers cannot teach vocabulary independently, unless the learners especially children as young learners will get confused and maybe frustrated in learning English. In order to communicate well in a foreign language, students should acquire an adequate number of words and should know how to use them accurately Vocabulary knowledge occupies a crucial position in the process of second language learning. Myriads of attempts have been made to assist learners to solve the challenges facing to vocabulary learning. However, doubts remain over their effectiveness in enhancing learners’ vocabulary comprehension and production. Using games and fun activity as an instructive device isn't something new and had a long history in dialect educating. Diversions were utilized for more redundancy in Audio lingual; they were presented in Desuggestopedia as pretend exercises or different exercises planning to lessen dialect obstructions; most exercises in TPR were amusement like ones to embed fun in classroom condition; and they observed to be convenient in Cooperative dialect educating, so as to boost the student association. This long story may demonstrate the viability of amusements.
