By the end of the lesson the Ss will have
an understanding of behaving in intercultural settings;
a knowledge about ways of behaving in different cultural settings, to respect different cultures and be able to follow them if needed in the future.

1.Introduction (20 minutes)
|
Mind-map (10 min).
T. asks the following questions:
- How should we behave in intercultural settings?
- What are the most common areas in which certain patterns of behavior may occur?
The T. encourages the Ss brainstorm the questions.
|
Ss in brainstorm their ideas on the questions and share them.
|
2. Main part
(60 minutes)
|
Activity 1. Miming (15 min).
T. encourages Ss to mime the superstitions given as a hometask. And other Ss find what kind of superstition is it and tell whether it is lucky or unlucky
Activity 2. Watching a video and answering to the questions (15 min).
T. puts a video related to the theme and asks to listen. Then T. draws some pictures of good and bad behaviours on the blackboard and asks to discuss the pictures in pairs. T asks questions and Ss discuss each-other’s answers.
Activity 3. Reading a text and making lists of good and bad habits (15 min).
T. reads the text aloud and asks to hear a person talking about things they like and dislike about public behavior. Then T. asks to make lists of behaviors they like and dislike and encourages present their ideas.
Activity 4. Discussion (15 min)
T. puts an interesting questions on the board and discuss the questions with the class.

Ss read the superstition from the card and tries to mime it to the group. Other Ss find what superstition it is.
Ss watch a video and answer to T’s questions.
Ss participate in QA session and discussion about behaving in intercultural settings.

T. asks Ss to give a summary of today’s lesson. T. asks each Ss for the summary of today’s lesson.

Ss work individually and give a summary of today’s lesson.
