4.10.5 Operation performance
In February 2008, the product sales revenue of cultural, educational and sports goods manufacturing industry grew at 17.15%, down by 3.92 percentage point on a year-on-year basis. In November, the product sales revenue grew at 13.74%, down by 6.84 percentage points on a year-on-year basis. The sales revenue of this industry was dropping down. In February 2008, the value-added ratio of capital maintenance was 115.34%, up by 1.92 percentage points on a year-on-year basis. In November, the ratio became 113.2%, down by 1.34 percentage point on a year-on-year basis. In February 2008, the asset-liability ratio of cultural, educational and sports goods manufacturing industry was 53.63%, down by 0.69 percentage point on a year-on-year basis. In November, the asset-liability ratio was 54.36%, down by 1.39 percentage point on a year-on-year basis. In February 2008, the net amount growth rate of accounts receivable was 0.34%, up by 17.36 percentage points. In November, the rate was 0.53%, down by 11.61 percentage points on a year-on-year basis. The net amount growth rate of accounts receivable saw a sharp drop.

4.10.6 Investment in fixed assets
The cumulative investment in fixed assets of cultural, educational and sports goods manufacturing industry in 2008 approached 19.56 billion yuan, up by 12.70% on a year-on-year basis. In February, the cumulative investment in fixed assets was 12.63 billion yuan, up by 30.75% on a year-on-year basis, the highest speed throughout the year. In May, the cumulative investment in fixed assets was 5.896 billion yuan, up by 0.02% on a year-on-year basis. In general, the investment in fixed assets of cultural, educational and sports goods manufacturing industry in 2008 saw an obvious upheaval.

4.10.7 Production and sales by region
In 2008, Guangdong achieved 75.33 billion yuan output value of cultural, educational and sports goods manufacturing industry, accounting for 34.73% of the industry’s total output, the highest in the country, up by 11.09% on a year-on-year basis. The total output value of Jiangsu was 33.74 billion yuan, accounting for 15.55%, up by 19.22% on a year-one-year basis. The total output value of this industry was relatively large in Zhejiang, Shandong and Shanghai. In this year, Beijing ranked the first in China in sales-output ratio of 119.09%, followed by Jilin, Guizhou, Yunnan and Shaanxi. The ratio of Guangxi was 56.06% as the lowest in China. Sichuan, Henan and Gansu had a relatively low sales-output ratio.

4.11.1 Overall scale and distribution
In February 2008, there were 4,496 enterprises in arts and crafts industry, with 87,700 employees, a year-on-year growth of 1.00%. The total assets value was 117 billion yuan, up by 24.16% on a year-on-year basis. The total indebtedness was 63.9 billion yuan, up by 30.08% on a year-on-year basis. In November 2008, there were 4,754 enterprises in arts and crafts industry, with 91,300 employees, up by 4.29% on a year-on-year basis. The total assets value reached 135.3 billion yuan, up by 14.24% on a year-on-year basis. The total indebtedness was 71.7 billion yuan, up by 11.27% on a year-on-year basis.
