Physical examination
This can be important in ruling out physical
causes of the symptoms (e.g. hearing and vision
problems). Physical examination needs to include
checks on weight, height and the cardiovascular
system, especially if medication is later prescribed
as part of the treatment plan and the child has a
learning disability.
