Abstract.
The article is devoted to the actual problem of using ICT in teaching
and studying English. There are given the advantages of using ICT in foreign
languages study, recommendations for teachers are brought in the article. The article
observes the role of the Internet in English lessons. Technology is becoming
increasingly important in both our personal and professional lives and the learners of
English are using technology more and more. Therefore there is the problem how to
teach English with technologies.

Nowadays the necessity to speak foreign languages is not questioned and
modern communication-oriented teaching prepares students to use the foreign
language in everyday life, and also it gives an opportunity for cultural, professional
and personal contact with the representatives of various social traditions and social
systems.
Today many major methodological innovations are connected with the use of
interactive teaching methods. The word “interactive” is borrowed from the English
“interact”. “Inter” means “common” and “act” is “to act”. “Interactive” means
capable of interacting or being in a mode of conversation, dialogue with something
(e.g. a computer) or someone (person) [1]. Therefore, interactive education is a
dialogue training process, where is the interaction between a teacher and a student.
Interactive education is a special form of cognitive activity. It has specific and
predictable objectives. One of them is to create a comfortable learning environment,
where a student feels to be successful and his intellectual independence. It makes a
productive learning. The essence of online learning is that during the learning
process, all students are involved in the process of perception; they are able to
understand and reflect about what they know and think. It takes place in the kind
atmosphere with mutual support, which allows not only obtaining new knowledge,
but also develops cognitive activity itself; it changes it into higher cooperation and
collaboration. In order to avoid the dominance of one speaker or one opinion over the
other in the classroom there is organized individual, pair and group work, applied
research projects, role-playing and also there is an activity with documents and
various sources of information [2]. Nowadays the usage of new multimedia
technologies for the realization of interactive education is widespread. Multimedia is
multivariate field, which gives the opportunity not only to get information, but also it
allows to create texts and graphic information with sound, video and animation in the
process of English learning. Today we have equipped classrooms with computers
with Internet access. Students should have skills of information technologies using to
enhance the language and knowledge of the country. This task is impossible without
the use of computers and computer programs as an integral part of modern language
education.
