Activity

Group work: Reading and classification of political terminology from the authentic English texts. Sentences should be mixed up in the handout


Timing

12-15 min


Objectives

To train usage of blends in real life situations, distinguish varieties of PhUs


Materials/ equipment

Handout from the Guidebook (Ex.1, p.25)


Step-by-step details

1. Divide students into groups of 4-5 Ss and name/number the groups
2.Distribute handout 1 and ask Ss to review their homework to come to consensus about the assignment
3. Ask group reps to present the findings
4. Listen to the answers and comment on the right/wrong ideas
5. Choose the winner group and give them marks.
