Humidity ratio
The
humidity ratio w
is the ratio of the mass of the water vapor to
the mass of the dry air in a sample of moist air. The
specific humidity
is the ratio of the mass of the water vapor to the total mass of the
moist air sample. Although the two terms are often used interchange-
ably, they are not identical.

The degree or percentage of saturation
is the humidity ratio
