Summary
As noted in earlier chapters, the entire heating and air conditioning
process is a series of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat
transfer processes where energy is moved from one place to another.
All three heat transfer mechanisms, conduction, convection, and ra-
diation, are involved in nearly every system. All heat transfer is a
function of a temperature difference between two points or entities.
Conduction and convection are first-order functions of temperature
