CHANGES ON THE LANGTASKS PLATFORM

THE SHORTENING OF THE SESSION TIME

The session time is shortened to 2 hours. After 2 hours of inactivity, the user will be logged out automatically. Please remember to save your answers and changes regularly.

TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

In order to ensure the highest security of data processing, we have introduced two-factor authentication. It is needed to follow the steps below.

1. 
   Add one of the following applications to your mobile device: SEC MFA, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator
   
2. 
   Open the installed application on your mobile device.
   
3. 
   Follow the instructions within the application:
   
   1. 
      SEC MFA:
      
      1. 
         add a new form of authentication (click the blue shield in the bottom right corner)
         
      2. 
         choose the QR Scan option
         
      3. 
         scan the QR code on the Langtasks platform screen
         
      4. 
         enter the generated code (six-digit code) into Langtasks login screen
         
      5. 
         the SEC MFA app remembered your device and will generate your personal OTP. To find a new numeric code for the authorization for the Langtasks platform you should swipe the screen to the left (the code on the app's start page is not the same as the Langtasks platform authorization code and will not work)
         
      6. 
         After the first authentication, you don’t need to push the blue shield button again, your device is already remembered by the app.

2. 
   Google Authenticator:
   
   1. 
      add a new form of authentication (click the colorful plus in the bottom right corner)
      
   2. 
      choose the option Scan a QR Code
      
   3. 
      scan the QR code on the Langtasks platform screen
      
   4. 
      enter the generated code (six-digit code) into Langtasks login screen

3. 
   Microsoft Authenticator (to use this method you need to have the Microsoft account):
   
   1. 
      accept the Privacy statement
      
   2. 
      choose the option Add account
      
   3. 
      scan the QR code on the Langtasks platform screen
      
   4. 
      enter the generated code (six-digit code) into Langtasks login screen

   The QR code is unique and the application will remember it on your device. From now on, after entering your Langtasks password, you will have to confirm your log-in by entering a new numeric code generated by the mobile application.
   
5. 
   Since the application remembers a unique QR code only on one specific device, you will have to inform the Langtasks platform administrators about any changes of the device you use for authorization, e.g. purchase of a new phone or reinstallation of the app. The administrator will reset your platform settings and then it will be possible to generate a new unique QR code and log into the Langtasks platform.
   

PASSWORD

From now on, the password to the Langtasks platform will have to be changed every 3 months.

It is not necessary to change the password now. Langtasks platform inform you about it at the appropriate moment.

The new password will have to meet the following requirements:

1. 
   Password must contain 10 or more characters.
   
2. 
   Password must contain at least 1 digit.
   
3. 
   Password must contain at least 1 lowercase letter.
   
4. 
   Password must contain at least 1 uppercase letter.
   
5. 
   Password must contain at least 1 special character: ~!@#$%^&*()_+{}":;'[]
   

Additionally, there will be a limit of login attempts. After 5 unsuccessful attempts the account will be blocked for 3 hours. To unlock the account faster, you should contact Langtasks platform administrator.
