What do Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr., and Sandra Bullock have in common?
They all get acupuncture. Acupuncture is an ancient medicine designed to work with your body to balance, maintain, and restore health.
While celebrities get paid millions of dollars to promote and sell all kinds of products, acupuncture is one service they promote for free. Read on to find out what your favorite celebrities are saying about acupuncture and this holistic form of medicine.
Sandra Bullock told the BBC that she requires acupuncture as a contractual perk before she agrees to take part in any production. This mega-star takes care of her body and this is one of the reasons why Bullock is so successful. The 49 year-old actress will be turning fifty this summer and it is great to hear that acupuncture is one of her secrets to her amazing career and youthful beauty.
Actor Jim Carrey is quick to credit better health and well-being through acupuncture treatment. He states “Undergoing (acupuncture) treatments and following nutritional advice has led to a marked change in my physical vitality and my general state of well-being.”

When things work, they are really worth putting your time and energy behind.”
Lucy Liu loves acupuncture. Liu said in an Instyle interview that “I splurge on acupuncture. It’s preventative medicine. You go in once a month, and you get a little checkup so you’re regulated. It keeps you healthy. My parents used to get acupuncture. It has been a part of my culture and my life for a long time, and it really, really works. It can help you lose weight, it can help your skin stay young — and I’ve found it helps with jet lag.” Maybe that is what keeps this 45 year-old actress looking so fabulous!
Forty-one-year-old Gwyneth Paltrow gushed on the Oprah Winfrey show about the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. That’s where I get my best ideas, maybe because I’m balancing my body.” With her multi-city tour and long working days it makes sense that acupuncture is a part of Perry’s routine.

What is causing our immune system to stop working at its highest potential?” Acupuncture has been proven to boost the immune system and to help your body deal with stress, and promote relaxation. Sheryl Crow enjoyed the benefits of acupuncture to help her heal from breast cancer.
