DISCUSSION PART 
The result of the study indicate in both literacy and 
fluency reading and eriting skills in English young 
learners. In detail, they face difficulties in 
comprehending the spelling system in terms of 
alphabets , vowels and tones . Therefore learners 
made mistakesin verbal , reading . Furthemore, she 
seems to have problems understanding the meaning of 
the words .Likewise , Scarcella’ (2003) argument 
focused on academic literacy as not only the ability to 
read and write , but also to acquire higher order 
communication and research skills . Tas (2010) 
emphasized that academic discourse is a unique kind 
of written world, with a set of conventions , or code . 
As such , competency in academic writing requires 
students to be attentive and be ware of their lectures’
Expectations, leading to be required standart of 
written output. However , for EFL students , there is a 
perception that they can’t write is this specialized a 
code due to lack of knowledge and understanding of 
the code. 
Irvin (2010 p 8) concuired and indicated that academic 
writing “ evaluation that requires them to demonstrate 


knowledge and proficiency with certain degree of 
disciplinary skills of thinking , interpreating and 
presenting “ . Oth
er scholars , such as Turner (2010) 
and Jingli (2012) in consensus with earlier researches , 
indicated that the ability to integrate skill such as 
information gathering , paraphrasing , and 
summarizing resources , organizing ideas for the 
success of academic writing .
Earlier research such as that Andrade (2006) and Wang 
and Shang (2007) expressed that language skills are 
one of the key issues that effect the academic
adjustment of international students in an English 
speaking environment . 
Spack (1991) reported that writing practices provide 
avanues for writers to show case their reading reading 
comprehension and practices ,by assisting readers with 
obtaining information and generating output through 
writing .
