Neighborhood [Noun] (a particular area of a city or town where people live).
Last night there was a big fire in the neighbourhood. His house is the largest one in our neighborhood.
Studio flat [Noun] (an apartment containing one main room, a kitchen, and a bathroom).
I might just be able to afford a tiny studio flat.
We were in the living room of our studio flat.
Our studio flat is privately situated to the rear of the main house.
Furnished [Verb] (containing furniture).
They furnished their house with inexpensive furniture. Tom's living room was tastefully furnished.
In good condition [Expression] (being in a good condition, without any damage).
The car is kept in good condition.
This bike is second-hand but it's still in good condition.
Clean and tidy [Expression] (neatly and not dirty).
The cottage was clean and tidy.
Everything was clean and tidy when I got home.
Leisure centre [Noun] (a large building containing a swimming pool and other places for exercising and playing different sports).
We went into their local leisure centre to use the swimming pool. Our leisure centre is open seven days a week.
Exercise machines [Noun] (any machine used for physical exercise or training).
There are a lot of types of exercise machines for home you can purchase. Exercise machines can provide strength training.
FAMILY, PEOPLE AND RELATIONSHIPS
Reunion [Noun] (a social event for a group of people gather together again after not having seen each other for a long time).
My family reunion this summer is less than one day. The family reunion picture.
The family reunion dinner.
The month for the class reunion came, and all the members were excited.
Role model [Noun] (a person who is looked up to and imitated by someone else).
My father is the most important role model for me and my brothers.
He is my role model because he works hard; he is respectful, and he is a caring person.
Grown-up [Adjective] (if someone is grown-up, he/she has reached the age of maturity).
He has a grown-up daughter who works in a bank. The little girl was talking to me like a grown-up lady.
Tween [Noun] (a child between the ages of 10 and 12, but he/she is not yet considered a teenager).
She has a class full of crazy tweens! She is finding crafts for her tweens.
Meet up [Verb] (to meet someone, usually by making an appointment with them first).
After work, we all met up at the BBQ restaurant.
After school, we met up at the coffee house across the street.
