They came from wealthy, upper-class families. He belongs to the rich American upper class.
To plead [Verb] (to beg, or ask for something in a serious and emotional way).
She pleaded with her mother to let her go to the party. He pleaded innocent to the charges.
Wrongdoing [Noun] (an illegal or dishonest behavior).
He was guilty of some wrongdoing.
He has strenuously denied any criminal wrongdoing.
Needless to say = it goes without saying that [Expression] (obviously).
Needless to say, we were so excited about the journey.
