BOROUGH OF POINT PLEASANT BEACH
RAFFLE INSTRUCTIONS

You must fill out four (4) complete application forms for each raffle. Each raffle must have original signatures (not copies) and be notarized.

Be sure to present a copy of the ID Certificate from the State (Legalized Games of Chance) with a valid date. If the certificate expires before the raffle date, the State will not approve the raffle.

If tickets for your raffle will be sold off-premise, you must complete four (4) sample ticket forms.

Charges:
-
On-Premise Merchandise Raffle or 50/50 Raffle with a prize valued at under $400.00: no charge.

Off-Premise Raffle or On-Premise Merchandise Raffle or 50/50 Raffle with a prize valued at $400.00 or more: $20 to the State and $20 to the Borough for each increment of $1,000 that the prize is valued OR in the case of gift auctions, $20 to the State and $20 to the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach for each increment of $1,000 that you make.

Bingo: $20 to the State and $20 to the Borough for each date.

Casino Night: $100 to the State and $100 to the Borough per occasion.

Pull-Tab: $20 to the State and $20 to the Borough for each day on which instant raffle tickets are sold or offered for sale OR $750 to the State and $750 to the Borough for a one-year license.

Calendar Raffle: $20 to the State and $20 to the Borough (for each $1000 or part thereof of the retail value of the prize).

Armchair Race: $50 to the State and $50 to the Borough per licensed day of operation.

Carnival Games or Wheel: $20 to the State and $20 to the Borough for each game or wheel held on any one day, or any series of consecutive days not exceeding 6 at one location.

Special Door Prize Raffle: no fee and no license, provided the merchandise is wholly donated and has a retail value of less than $50.00. NOTE: cannot be conducted when other games of chance are being conducted, held or operated.

Checks should be made payable to the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach and to Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission (LGCCC).

In part “A”, section 3 under ‘Date and Hours’, please include the type of raffle (Merchandise Raffle, 50/50, etc) and whether it is an On Premise or Off Premise Raffle. On premise events have the tickets sold only at the location of the event and on the day of the event.

In part “G” please make sure there are at lest two (2) members in charge listed.

On the last page, part “J” section 7, please make sure that there are at least two (2) signatures.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
All 4 raffle forms must be notarized.
Your organization must have a valid State ID Certificate.
