Electronic English 
The fast pace of the development in Technology created a new notion: Electronic English. A lot 
of researchers analyzed the technological terms in contexts and the communication between young-
sters and understood that the language shifted dramatically in these situations. Consequently, they re-
alized that the major impacts are on the texting and communication. Today people are becoming more 
and more eager to communicate online not face to face. This causes to the modification of words.
There are plenty of book devoted to this notion

course’ (Davis & Brewer, 1997),‘electronic language’ (Collot & Belmore, 1996), ‘Comput-
er-Mediated Communication’ (Herring, 1996), ‘interactive written discourse’ (Werry,1996), ‘Net-
lish’, ‘Weblish’, ‘Internet language’, ‘cyberspeak’, ‘netling’ (Thurlow, 2001), ‘cyberlanguage’
(MacFadyen, Roche, & Doff, 2004), ‘Netspeak’ (Thurlow, 2001; Crystal, 2006), and ‘virtual 
language’ (Pop, 2008). 
The term 
Internetese
refers to the group of words which are completely new, in other words ne-
ologisms of the networking, for example motherboard, keyboard, inkjet, laser, printer, file, modem, 
e-mail, formatting, mouse, and the list goes on.
