A generative lexicon - Generative Lexicon introduces a knowledge representation system that provides lexical information with a rich and expressive vocabulary. This is motivated by two factors. Overall, GL is interested in describing how people use language creatively, and we see the lexicon as a major repository for much of the information that underpins this phenomena. In contrast to currently widespread notions of static lexicon design, where the set of contexts authorizing the use of words is decided in advance and there are no formal means available for increasing this set, GL aims to replicate the notion of a constantly developing lexicon. Determining the representational interface between linguistic and non-linguistic information is one of the most difficult challenges in theoretical and computational semantics. The goal of GL was to create a theoretical framework for encoding selectional knowledge in natural language. This necessitated certain modifications to the formal norms of representation and composition. The use of lexically encoded knowledge in the development of interpretations for linguistic utterances has been one of the more contentious aspects of GL.
There is no such thing as a lexicon in Uzbek, but in Uzbek there is a semantic integral variant "word". We try to explain the classification of lexicon in Uzbek by word classification. Making a word means creating a new meaningful word. Word formation is based on a change in lexical meaning, and the artificial word often moves from one category to another. In this sense, the phenomenon of word formation is a phenomenon that changes the word grammatically. For example, the word flower is derived from the plural suffix peculiar to the horse because of its specificity to the horse category: flowers, of flowers, of flowers. When the verb -la suffix is added to this word, the word that is formed does not take the plural and the consonant suffix, it does not change, but it is understood. Because, in this case the word changes grammatically. moves from one category to another.
The changes that occur in words when moving from one category to another are called categorical changes. For example, the stem of a random word (random) is a horse, and when the suffix -an is added to it, the word moves to another category, i.e. the category changes. The suffix -zor in the word uzumzor made a horse out of a horse. The category has not changed.
The lexical and grammatical meanings of words are also subject to change in connection with word formation. Word formation is a positive phenomenon for language. It is one of the sources that enriches the language lexically.42
Word formation is inextricably linked with other areas of language, especially vocabulary and grammar. For example, a compound word is formed from lexical means that previously existed in the language. For example, because there are words like “kitob” and “chiroyli” in the language, words like reader and beautiful are made on the basis of these words. Based on word formation, the meaning of the word changes, a new meaningful word is formed. This situation shows that there is an organic connection between word formation and lexicology. It is well known that word formation is often accompanied by suffixes, a new construction moves from one category to another. This situation shows that word formation is also related to grammar43.
The means and methods of word formation in language are diverse. There are two main ways of word formation in Uzbek.

  1. Morphological (affixation) method.

  2. Syntactic (com-position) method44.

Another method of word formation in Uzbek is the abbreviation method. Abbreviations are formed with this method: BMT, MDH, DAN. Word formation by this method is unique to the horse category. Another method of word formation is the conversion method. According to this method, a word belonging to one category is used instead of a word belonging to another category. For example, “Mard maydonda bilinar” the word “mard” in his speech actually belongs to the category of adjectives and is used in the sense of "man" who has moved to a horse. This is also the case with adjectives: read-like45.
In the classification of the word in the Uzbek language, its morphological, semantic, syntactic, stylistic and lexical, phonological aspects are taken into account. The above are the activities that ensure word formation in the Uzbek language and increase the richness of words in the lexicology of the Uzbek language. They are also notable for their resemblance to the classification of lexicons in English.
