Summary of Chapter I
During our research, we tried to clearify the notion of lexicon and its classification in lexicology. According to the explore of the information about lexicons and their roles to the development of lexicology in English and Uzbek languages, it is found that there are some terms which mean similarly to lexicons. But, we found the differences between them: the concepts of lexis, lexical competence, lexical knowledge, and the breadth and depth of lexical knowledge should be revised to encompass contemporary discussions in the area, it was stated. Lexis is not the same as the usual term vocabulary, which we believe limits its meaning. Lexis is a more general term that encompasses vocabulary, lexemes, and lexical objects. In this paper, lexical competence was also examined, and a new definition was proposed that incorporates lexical knowledge and its use in a variety of settings. We also contend that knowing a word entails more than comprehending its structure and meaning.
In the classification of the word in the Uzbek language, its morphological, semantic, syntactic, stylistic and lexical, phonological aspects are taken into account. The above are the activities that ensure word formation in the Uzbek language and increase the richness of words in the lexicology of the Uzbek language. They are also notable for their resemblance to the classification of lexicons in English.
It is necessary to find out that lexicons appear to be organized into lexico - semantic or theme fields, as well as stylistic and terminological categories. There are undoubtedly grammar and syntactic differentiations, as well as integration, for example, by parts of speech, functions in expressions, and so on, in addition to such paradigmatic structuring.
Professional vocabulary occurs in a variety of forms. Professionalisms enter a specialized language in a natural way, first appearing in a discourse between members of a professional community.
To sum up, professional lexicons, depending on the larger and narrower extralinguistic environment can range from extremely formal to highly informal, necessitating a careful selection of acceptable language methods. While it is true that informal communication at work might involve non-work-related themes and that the line between professional and casual topics can be blurred, the current research focuses on informal communication that is focused on professional concerns.
