Lexicon core - the aforementioned mental lexicon description theories concentrate on different aspects of its structure and operation. These characteristics are tied to voice production processes in some conceptions. Other ideas are related to speech comprehension. The frames theories and memory network models were, without a doubt, the most prominent systems of knowledge representation in linguistics. There are also intriguing theories that explain how easy it is to acquire the lexicon's fundamental words. Obviously, such theories must be investigated further. Each unit in the lexicon, in our judgment, is coupled with an abstract complicated meaning. This complex meaning is made up of semantic primes and indicates a stem common to all forms of a polysemantic word. Complex meanings do not always correspond to natural conceptions. They refer to open conceptual systems that take on new meaning in different contexts as a result of actions at the conceptual level. The meanings of polysemantic words indicate notional domains, which are distinct semantic fields with a shared conceptual core. The core of any lexical unit's meaning is conveyed at the semantic level. The lexicalized ideas determine an appropriate context choice, while the core meanings convey the semantic construction of the lexeme. The «presence» of all lexicosemantic variants of a term in consciousness³⁴, in our opinion, does not guarantee that a comprehensive list of all these meanings can be reproduced on first request. In the process of reproduction, some meanings are frequently neglected. Native English speakers would struggle to remember all of the meanings of a polysemantic word at the same time. As a result, ambiguity about the required meanings' selection corresponds to psycholinguists' discoveries that consciousness does not store words. This provision can be used to argue³⁵ against the mental lexicon's usage of listed representations of word meanings. Meanings are described as self-contained autonomous essences in several lexical word functioning models.
