There aren’t many theaters in my city, but they are very popular among the general public. I am also a theater fan. As for me, I prefer drama to all other theaters, but I also love opera and musical comedy.

One of the largest theaters in our city is the Uzbek State Musical Drama Theater named after Muqumi - one of the largest theaters in Uzbekistan. started

The creative team consisted of 45 people. M. Mirakilov artistic director, F. Umarov, B. Khodjayev directors, M. Kuznetsova, S. Khodjayev, A. Bakirov, M. Yakubova, M. Kholmukhammedov, A. Boltaev, M. Gofurov formed.

In 1940, the theater was reorganized under the name of Musical Drama and Comedy Theater. T. Jalilov was appointed artistic director and A. Azimov was appointed general director. The first big work of the theater was the musical drama "Tahir and Zuhra“.

During the Second World War, the theater enriched its repertoire with performances such as "Kurban Umarov", "Revenge", "Oftobkhon", which tell about the courageous work and courage of the Uzbek people behind the front.

In 1972, the theater was transformed into the Uzbek State Musical Theater. In satirical comedies such as "Zuldir" and "Hiylai Shari'i", both in music and in the performance of actors, humor and sharp cinema prevailed.

In 1993, the theater's repertoire was enriched with comedies "A little world", "Happy wedding", "Journey to Tashkent". Today, the theater is in research, in action, such actors as F. Rakhmatova, M. Ikhtiyorova, S. Pulatova, D. Safoyeva, M. Yakubova, M. Kayumova, B. Khomirzaev, A. Bekjanov, D. Uzakov are the actors of the theater.
