Abstract Teaching vocabulary in the English as a foreign language context is different. We know that language is a means by which people express their thoughts and every word is valuable in context. This chapter discusses optimization methods to study vocabulary in the context of English as a foreign language. Foreign teachers and researchers agree to master the language vocabulary is very important for a person to be a mature language user. Although learning vocabulary English and Uzbek are fundamentally different, one of the important ways in which English and Uzbek vocabulary learning does differ is the rate of vocabulary growth. Learning English in the context, the amount of regular input is immense allowing for much of vocabulary to be learnt incidentally.
1 Introduction Teachers have the greatest influence on the quality and quantity of English vocabulary learnt by learners. Due to teachers play such a key role and ultimately decide what will be learned, their caution can plan and have general information related to the study of dictionaries helps to improve the learning process. If you come across an unfamiliar word in the context and you want to remember it, you should write down the context in which it is used. For example, it is easier to learn the English word `frosty` (ayozli,sovuq) as the phrase `the winter is frosty`(qish ayozli, sovuq) rather than separately. You can find ready-made examples of using the English word you are interested in any book, various articles or newspapers. Also, you should practice writing sentences with new word by yourself. This will help you improve your skills and beneficial for your vocabulary. For instance, you need to remember the verb `to pursue` (ta`qib qilish). Give some examples that reveal the meaning of this verb. Examples:
The wolves spent more 2 hours pursuing their prey.
She is pursuing her goals.
He assisted a man who being pursued by police.
If you already have a basic vocabulary, practice finding synonyms and antonyms for new English words. This will not only help you learn new words, but also come in handy in communicating with people: if you do forget a word, you can easily find a replacement for it. In this case, you need to learn the word `irreverence`and you already know a word with the same meaning `disrespectful`. It remains to choose the antonyms: `respect` and `contempt`. In conjunction with synonyms and antonyms, a new English word will be easier to remember. Memorize words of the same root.
