Manipulates data in large blocks 

64 bit block size 

Scalable key from 32 bits to at least 256 bits. 

Uses simple operations on microprocessors like XOR, ADD etc., 
Blowfish algorithm employs pre computable sub keys. On large amount of memory 
systems, these sub keys can be pre calculated for faster operation. If there is no pre 
calculated values the result will be slower operation, but without pre calculated values it is 
possible to derive the encryption. For applications with small key size the complexity of 
brute force attack and differential attack which may causes the large number of iterations.
Hence it is possible to reduce the rounds without losing the security.
