An increasing number of residents embarks on possessing a car owing to the development of a particular country. This essay will argue that the disadvantages of this outweigh the advantages. Firstly, this essay illustrate that the more car people own, the more chances it have to create noise and air pollution and it brings too many traffic jams, the primary advantage is, however, making long-way trips easier on land, is not so important.
In developed countries, residents can afford to buy their cars that possibly increase the air and noise pollution of the cities. As everyone knows, a car's engine excludes carbon dioxide which is very hazardous to the ozone layer of the earth and as a car's engine sound creates noises, bumping sounds as well, humans' health is affected by noise pollution. For example, in crowded cities like Seoul and Tokyo, where each people have their cars, more than 90% of people suffer from noise and these cities are considered the most polluted ones.
Moreover, with so many cars in the rush hours, it is impossible to make a way in crossroads, the main cause of the traffic jams. According to the survey in the aforementioned cities, drivers lost almost 6 hours in traffic jams a day.
Even though many disadvantages, there is to say that cars are the cause of creating an easier commuting system than before. Everyone can travel anywhere in their cars at any time. In the USA, for example, most people prefer to use cars for commuting.
In conclusion, the fact that cars lead to higher air and noise pollution, as well as the cause of making people waste time on traffic connections, outweigh the easier commuting system.
